WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed Canadian
fullback Michel-Pierre Pontbriand to a new contract.

30, has spent three seasons with the Blue Bombers. He was
slated to become a free agent in February. He had six
carries last season for 61 yards and added eight tackles
on special teams. "Michel-Pierre is a great asset for us

works extremely hard every day," general manager Kyle
Walters said Wednesday in a release. Pontbriand, a native
of Saint-Sauveur, Que., played university football for
Laval and helped the Rouge et Or win Vanier Cup
