As a business, Midway is taking an unusual approach to
marketing their game. One that basically says, "Here's a
game the NFL did not want for you to play." In the end,
as Blitz producers have told us, the show was a target
for the NFL at the time it was a licensed product because
of its outrageous celebrations and brutal attacks. With
the NFL has gotten off their backs and they're not a
threat to the game, Midway declares, the business can
create games that are truly in line with their concept of
