They¡¯ve met with more than a dozen prospects so far, but after they put Florida Atlantic¡¯s Devin Singletary through a private workout on Wednesday at FAU, that will be the fourth time they¡¯ve talked with him. Path to the Draft is reporting that the Bears will be the only team that will have officially met with him and put him through a private workout. The Bears also talked with him at the FAU pro day and at the NFL Combine, so they¡¯re making sure to gather as much info on the 5¡¯7¡±, 203 pounder as possible.In three years at FAU, Singletary racked up 4,287 yards on 714 carries (6.0 ypc) with 66 touchdowns. He only caught 51 balls for 397 yards, but scouts believe he has the necessary skills to be a three down back in the NFL. When watching his college tape you see a shifty runner that can make defenders miss, but his combine numbers were alarmingly bad. This is either a case of a good football player simply not testing well, or this may have something to do with the level of competition he faced while playing for the Owls.
